How to get skating

Would you like to know how you or your kids can get involved into skating? We have all the information you need right here. No matter the age, there is something for everyone!

Learn to Skate

If you or your children would love to get involved in skating, Learn to Skate might just be the right fit for you. The sessions are supervised by BIS (British Ice Skating) licensed coaches who teach you the basics of skating up to more complicated moves. Learn to Skate works on a badge system from level 1 -8, followed by Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Learn to Skate session times (subject to change)

Monday & Tuesday

4:30pm – 5:30pm (Badge 1-5)

5:30pm – 6:30pm (Badge 6 – Gold)

Saturday 9am – 10am (All levels)

Sunday 11:30am – 12:30pm (All levels)

Snow babies

Do you have younger children and would like them to get involved in skating? Snow Babies is a class at Dundee Ice Arena intended for under 5’s. It helps younger children to get familiar with the ice in a fun and safe environment.

Monday & Wednesday 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Ice Stars

If your little star wants to learn new skills in a fun and social environment, why not join our specialised programme to nurture their talent.

Ice stars is an ice skating programme designed for 8 years & under at Dundee Ice Arena.

Session time (subject to change)

Adult Skating

If you want to try out skating, or you have prior experience you might want to try the Dundee Adult Ice Skating Classes. All levels and experience are welcome and you will be able to skate in a safe and fun environment, with two coaches on the ice. The teaching level ranges from basics, to more advanced figure skating and also ice hockey.

If this sounds like the activity for you, drop by Dundee Ice Arena on a Tuesday from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
