Conor Stakelum is an Irish figure skater representing Ireland internationally around the world. He is member of the Irish performance squad. At the age of 12 he started skating in a temporary Christmas Ice rink in Dublin. His early successes include winning the Irish Junior Nationals in 2011 and 2012 qualifying him for participating at the 2012 Lake Placid Junior Grand Prix. Conor wrote history when he qualified himself for skating at the 2017 European Championships becoming the first Irish male figure skater to do so. He earned his first ISU medal at the FBMA Trophy 2018 in Abu Dhabi, taking home the silver medal. Conor had strong international showings at his latest events placing him in the top ten for all of them. Besides skating Conor has a BSc in Microbiology. Conor competed at the 2019 European Championships in Minsk, Belarus. He delivered a clean performance and finished the Short Program in 33rd place.
